It will offer the Gold Coast community:

Planning for the Future

The Gold Coast has experienced rapid population growth over recent years, with the northern Gold Coast corridor experiencing an exponential surge. According to the City of Gold Coast, the current population of the region exceeds 630,000 people, and it is estimated to become home to one million residents by 2050.

Our population is expected to comprise more older people and a variety of cultures and religions in the future. While the region is supported with Council-operated and private burial cemeteries, two crematoriums and one mausoleum, on current projections these facilities are forecast to reach capacity within 20 years.

To help plan for the future, expansion or new infrastructure is extremely important, yet suitable sites or expansion opportunities are limited.

The Heaven on Earth Memorial Park proposal would not impact the viability of existing cemeteries or crematoriums and would assist in the timely delivery of critical community infrastructure and expanded offering for all people and cultures for generations to come.
